Art Kitchen Transformed

The original layout of this kitchen in Hudson, Ohio was not at all functional, the working area not thought through and the volume of the space not accented.  Susan redesigned the space eliminating the single entry to the working area with an island which allows access from both sides and makes it easy to put food on the table.

The high ceilings where accented with hand-hewn beams, antiqued to look aged.  The vent for the cooktop now goes to the ceiling emphasize the height.

Dated tile which stopped halfway up the wall cutting off the beauty of the fireplace was replaced with stone to compliment the new rustic feel of the kitchen.  The total renovation makes the kitchen beautiful and functional.
