New Year's Eve Table Setting

I have written in the past about how much I enjoy being a member of the Akron Garden Club which is filled with creative members.

For this month's meeting several of us were asked to display a holiday table setting, whatever we wanted to do, the choice was ours. My friend Marsha Dellagnese and I teamed up to create an intimate setting for two for a New Year's Eve celebration.

Marsha who is also the design field, and I put our heads together to come up with a concept knowing we wanted to have glitz and fun. Beginning with beautiful china and crystal, we added sparkle though a sheer silver table overlay on top of a full length gold table cloth.

To this we added more layers of intrigue using crystal beads scattered about the table, beautiful gold and silver ornaments, and even more sparkle with many votive candles. The crowning glory was Marsha's vase filled with frosty branches and white tulips floating in snow.

Remember, when it comes to New Year's Eve, you can never have to much glitz or fun.

Happy New Year to all of you.
